Milosz Szczotka

Miłosz Szczotka was born on 17 August 2001 in Pszczyna (Poland). He began his music education at the age of 13 at the Stanisław Moniuszko School of Music in Bielsko-Biała, in the clarinet class of Łukasz Iskrzycki. Since 2020, he has been studying at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw under the supervision of Prof. Arkadiusz Adamski and Andrzej Ciepliński. 

He has developed his music skills during numerous master classes, e.g. in Ostrava (Czech Republic), Atri (Italy), Warsaw, Katowice, Gdańsk, Wrocław, given by distinguished clarinetists such as Karel Dohnal, Sharon Kam, Lorenzo Coppola, Igor Františák, Gabor Varga, Jean-Marc Fessard, Jorge Montilla and Andreas Langenbuch. 

In 2019 He won a scholarship, which gave him the opportunity to study at the Luzerne Music Center (USA). The same year He was a laureate of the Prime Minister's Scholarship. He is also a winner of the Rector of the Chopin University Scholarship (2022/2023). 

He recently won the Grand Prize at the 5th Silverstein Global Clarinet Contest (2023). As a chamber musician, He is a laureate of national and international competitions, including 1st place at the International Music Competition OPUS (Cracow, 2023), 2nd place at the West Pomeranian Clarinet Festival in Szczecin (2022), 2nd place at the Woodwind Chamber Music Competition in Warsaw (2023), and distinction at the 3rd International Chamber Music Competition KraCamera 2023 (Cracow). 

 

Miłosz currently plays on the RZ Solo Clarinet.
