Gabriele Oglina

Gabriele Oglina earned a Diploma in Clarinet and Music Teaching at the G.Cantelli Conservatory of Music in Novara (Italy) after studying under the supervision of M° Carlo Dell’Acqua. He continued his studies in orchestral conducting (winds) under the guidance of M° Thomas Gaetano Briccetti.

He has been engaged in an intense Chamber Music with a particular focus on winds instruments repertoires. He has performed at many music festivals both national and international.

Founder and member of the GOST (Gori, Oglina and Seminara Trio) with which he has been involved in an important concert activity in Italy, France, Switzerland, Spain, Croatia, Slovakia and has recently recorded a CD with its own music.

He currently plays with the accordionist Paolo Vignani. He is the founder and President of the Accademia Orchestra (Wind Orchestra). Together with the Accademia Orchestra he has been awarded important prizes in music competitions, national and international festivals. In particular, he was awarded the first prize at the World Music Contest in Kerkrade (The Netherlands).

He regularly performs with the “C.Coccia” Orchestra in Novara. He has performed under the guidance of V.Ashkenazy, N. Santi, M.Carulli, M. Rota, J. Acs, G. Garbarino.

He is a Music teacher at the Liceo Piero Gobetti di Omegna (Italy).
