Petr Vašek

He was born in Czech Republic in 1984. His academic degrees - Bachelor of Arts (BcA.) - 2008, Master of Arts (MgA.) - 2010, Master of Arts in specialized performanze (MgA.) - 2012. Main field of study: Clarinet.

His musical educations: 2001-2004: Prague conservatory (prof. Milan Polák), title Absolutorium (compare to pre-prof.) received in June 2005; 2005-2008: Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (prof. Jiří Hlaváč, prof. Vlastimil Mareš), title Bachelor of Arts, received in June 2008; 2008 – 2010: Master art at Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana (prof. Milan Řeřicha); 2010 – 2012: Master of Arts in Specialized Performance at Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana (prof. Milan Řeřicha).

He won several national and international competitions: 2014 1st prize at 2nd international clarinet competition Czech Clarinet Arts in Horice, 2013 2nd prize at XIII music competition for young musicians in ,,city of Chieri,, , 2013 2nd prize at the 1st International clarinet competition Czech Clarinet Arts in Horice, 2013 Winner at audition in the National theatre of Prague, 2012 Finalist at audition in Luzern symphony orchestra.

He colaborated with: National theatre of Prague – 2012 – (Permanent), Verbier festival orchestra – 2012-2014, Prague Phiharmony (Jiří Bělohlávek, Jakub Hrůša) – contract for the season 2011-2012, Czech Chamber Philharmonic (director – Vojtěch Spurný), CNSO – czech national symphony orchestra (director – Marcello Rota, Andrea Bocelli – tenor), Czech chamber orchestra (director – Ondřej Kukal, Jana Vlachová – violin), Orchestra at festival in Santander (director – Vladimir Ashkenazy), Young Sound Forum of Central Europe (Christoph Altstaedt – conductor), Ochestra Città di Brescia, Orchestra della Svizzera italiana.
