PEDRO ROBATTO

Pedro Robatto, clarinetist from Salvador-Ba, holds a Ph.D., Master's, and Bachelor's degree from the Federal University of Bahia. Since 1989, he has been Principal Clarinetist of the Bahia Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, since 1992, he has been Professor of Clarinet and Chamber Music at the Federal University of Bahia, teaching undergraduate and professional master's courses. He was Assistant Professor at the University of Victoria, Canada, in 1999. With a strong pedagogical background, he has taught clarinet at various music courses and festivals in Brazil, such as the Brasilia Summer International Course, Unisinos Winter Festival in Rio Grande do Sul, Domingos Martins Winter Festival in Espírito Santo, and the Londrina International Music Festival in Paraná, among others. His teachers include Klaus Haefele at the Federal University of Bahia, Earl Thomas and Patricia Kostek at the University of Victoria, Canada, and Wolfgang Meyer at the Karlsruhe Music School in Germany. He has won music competitions in Brazil and Argentina, including the I International Competition of Buenos Aires, National Chamber Music Competition of Faculdade Santa Marcelina - São Paulo, OSESP Young Soloists Competition, and Firestone Orchestra Young Soloist Competition, Londrina - PR, and was a finalist of the VIII Eldorado Music Prize - São Paulo.

Pedro currently plays on the RZ/magoo Bohema MM hybrid Bb and A clarinet.
