KELSA RICE

Kelsa Rice is a Tennessee-based, international clarinetist and an active performer throughout Middle Tennessee. She regularly appears in collegiate and regional ensembles, performing standard symphonic and orchestral repertoire, chamber literature, and solo works.

She has performed at notable venues including Cadogan Hall in London, and Songdo ConvensiA in South Korea. Kelsa has also collaborated in performance and masterclass settings with internationally acclaimed clarinetists including Milan Rericha, Chuck Currie, Nadia Sofokleous, and Danny Goldman, further shaping her artistic perspective.

In addition to many live performances, she participates in recording sessions, most recently with a chamber group focused on creating quality recordings for emerging female composers. Her other recording experience includes a CD with the MTSU Wind Ensemble featuring bass trombonist Charlie Vernon of the Chicago Symphony.

Kelsa is currently pursuing a degree in Music Industry at Middle Tennessee State University, studying under Todd Waldecker, following earlier studies at Western Kentucky University under John Cipolla.

Kelsa is a Young Artist for Rericha & Co., based in the Czech Republic, performing on RZ Magoo/Heirassa Model Bb and A clarinets. She plays Chedeville mouthpieces and ZAC ligatures. Beyond music, she enjoys crocheting, reading, and cooking.

Kelsa plays on the RZ/magoo Heirassa Hybrid.
